James! Your song has amazing energy, a great sense of adventure, and excellent power. Makes me feel happier, and I always feel transported into a wild and immersive landscape.

Your attention to detail and skill in creating your absolutely amazing music, crafting a story with such powerful sound and variations with soul, gave me goosebumps. At the two-minute mark of your song, I felt enriched by how you balanced your instruments and created excitement. I'm always happy that your song is royalty-free; you have a kind heart.

An excellent conclusion at the end of your song, very exciting and full of awesomeness!

JamesHeart responds:

This means a lot ~
I was really having fun with this
I wonder what world you saw ᵔᵕᵔ

royalty-free or whatever you wanna do with it yup yup

There is a strong emotional undercurrent of melancholy, and you convey a sense of vulnerability and strength very effectively. I admire the uniqueness and personality of your song. I wish I had more of the same abilities as you to convey such ferocity and strength, almost to a powerful, tear-inducing level. It's evident that you're pushing and utilizing your musical tools to be unique, and I deeply respect your fearlessness in experimenting with the auditory landscape.

I can confidently say that one of your major strengths is your bravery in expressing yourself. This song is from four years ago, and I can see that you have maintained this strength throughout.

I enjoy your positivity and bounce in your music. It speaks a language of music, and I think you express it very well with excellent fluidity, the sublime, and a sense of happiness! The atmosphere is presented in a way that creates a sense of progression and changes, invoking a feeling of wander and adventure!

And how you transition from a quiet part to a part with extra energy makes the progression feel impactful. I definitely enjoy the quiet parts and how they contrast with when the energy pops up. You have an excellent skill in creating a well-defined structure in your music, and I believe you should give yourself immense credit for the passion, heart, and soul that you put into your music. You should be very proud of your abilities that you have worked hard to cultivate, which are unique and personal to you.

James is awesome! The guitar is very unique and absolutely great! The collaboration is excellent, and it's super amazing how well the creative flow works. What impresses me is the variation in your ability to use different patterns in your rap and the depth of soul. Your rhymes are great, and they fit so well.

I really enjoyed the song. Your lyrics are excellent; I appreciate how creative they are and how much ground you cover with strong, imaginative imagery. The emotions you convey are powerful.

@Cyberdevil I thought the intro sounds resembled a guitar XD

You make an excellent team! @JamesHeart @Cyberdevil

Cyberdevil responds:

Is there... a guitar?! These instrumentals really carry an impressive level of detail, I may have missed certain layers here to this day... may need some better speakers...

Appreciate the compliments man. :) I cringe a bit at my annunciation and tone going back to these old ones, but I'm glad you liked it; am still proud of the writing for sure! James brings out the best in these.

Thank you!

JamesHeart responds:

His writing is awesome, his flow catchy and he says what's on his mind, his voice smooth.

Treasure in History

Excellent song with rhythm and positive lyricism. Your flow is powerful in how you maintain the rhythm, and it's very nice how you mention and compliment James. I would say this is a grand musical adventure, and I hope your vacation was good. Yes, I enjoyed the trip :)

Cyberdevil responds:

Thank you Aalasteir! :) Glad I conveyed the sense of travel! It was but a short weekend trip, one or two nights, but a memorable one... first time I recorded one of these Inktober verses from a hotel room too. ;) (but that's not this - that's the one after)

The world's a wide and wild and wonderful place innit! :D

It's really cool that you're experimenting with different time signatures. I think that is amazing! Very fun and upbeat! Yes, I believe the Funkin Crew should hire you so they can use the iconic, trademarked time signature of 13/8! People's heads are going to explode!

MasterHand4444 responds:

@PhantomArcade the people have spoken please let me work for your game

The way the piano is mixed with its lo-fi quality adds a deep level of richness. The atmosphere is strong, and I can imagine this would make a great ending for a video game. I was thinking it would be perfect for an RPG Maker game, and you're absolutely right. I also believe you would get the job done. You could try exporting the song you're working on and just have it be version 1.

The way I make music is that I don't focus on whether the song sounds good or bad; I just finish them and move on to the next one. I operate on the philosophy of volume, not perfection.

It's about building strong habits and making the process the goal. I'm not focused on making the song perfect; it just needs to be good enough through the process. Hopefully, the process and the improvisation I'm in will create another song. Speed and momentum.

@Rombit how did you decide on wanting to make an ending song?

SoTshu responds:

hey thank you for taking the time to comment! much much love for that!
the idea for the ending (and by extention this song) belive it or not came to me in a shower. i got like a vision of the ending like that and it had a calm piano meledy in the background. thats how the idea came to be. now i have to make the entire game.
i just wanna see that ending in a game man lol

also the song i was talking about is getting a lot of progress. i just finished writing another part for it today. i dont think i will be able to release it this month tho, so i will have to make something else for this month.

again, thanks for stopping by! cheers!

Congratulations! You are awesome! Thank you to all the people who have supported you. I wish you an excellent day. Your song is excellent; the atmosphere is cinematic and upbeat.

You make Newgrounds better with your cool music and positivity! Please keep being yourself!

Tangerine responds:

Thank you Alasteir, I really appreciate it!

Excellent episode! It was very funny and provided great insight into what it's like to pitch a show and communicate with executives! I also found the concept of writing as a game, and a collaborative one at that, very interesting. The idea of building a story as a team and spending a considerable amount of time revising it to achieve a quality script gives a good perspective.

Many people want things to happen too quickly, leading to shit results. Embracing the necessity of doing boring tasks is a superpower. A good point was the discussion about creating something on "cheap" keeping costs as low as possible.

People often overcomplicate everything. There's a saying: "Keep it simple, stupid" (KISS). I learned that from Lynda.com, which is now called LinkedIn Learning, which is fucking stupid.

Thurop's story about being on the island and experiencing misadventures! To realize that the experiences form the core of the adventure. That's awesome!

Thank you so much for narrating your treatment. Your voice is great, you have a good rhythm, and the narration flows very naturally at a followable pace. I've listened to your adaptation three times now, and it is a pleasant experience each time. I enjoy the strong points of visualization and the use of language that clearly represents what's happening in the stories. The sense of progression from episode to episode is well-defined and organized. There's a good focus on the grand scale of the conflict, and each element of the plot complements the others well, showing how they link up and affect each other, causing actions and effects to occur. The depictions of the scenes and economy are also well done, giving me a strong visual image.

11:12 - What strikes me as strong characterization is the scene in the tavern, where it is revealed that Númenorean wine is the only alcoholic beverage that can give Celebrimbor a buzz.

39:50 - One part I found especially rich with imagery was the detailed depiction of maps being carefully studied and updated. The attention to detail in these planning scenes adds a deep level of anticipation for the action, creating a strong sense of buildup for when the action occurs.

In EP. 12 – THE SIEGE OF MORDOR, the conclusion of the episode is excellently strong and ties in extremely well with The Lord of the Rings. I thought that was very creative and a good decision. Additionally, in the final episode Ep. 13 - Epilogue: Isildur's Bane, providing the plot of what happens in the aftermath is also a good choice. Ending with a depiction of the wide sea offers vivid imagery, which I find exciting.
