Great heavy bass, and the atmosphere is super cool. I really like the mix—it’s strong, and the song structure is unique.

01:35 - This is my favorite part! What I really enjoy is the background atmosphere, and it works so well because the buildup!

@RyuuAkito what is your system for organizing your workflow for music projects?

@RyuuAkito how did you discover Madness?

RyuuAkito responds:

Duuude, thank you!

As for workflow, when it comes to personal work I can very much be described as a monkey slamming a keyboard until something sticks. I definitely just boot up FL Studio and work until something works while building off of the knowledge I've gained over the years. When I'm managing a project, I try to have a structured approach while also being laid back; the people I'm working with are talented and they deserve the room to breathe and shine. Big things matter like deadlines, goals, and the product we're delivering, but otherwise I know that a team can shine when they aren't so restricted.

I discovered Madness in 2008 when I was like 4 years old haha. I grew up as the youngest in my family, and my older brother showed me the flash game "Madness Interactive" and I've fallen in love with the series ever since. It's a deep childhood memory for me that I will always cherish.

You two make an amazing team! Wishing you a Happy Madness Day as well. I was blown away by how awesome the song is—the guitar is heavy, the drums are fast and full of energy, and the song's structure, the guitar solos, is excellently done!

@TeraVex what advice has helped you in making Madness music?

@TeffyD how did you develop your guitar style?

I wish I could make music this good! I mostly create industrial like Madness music and often use Trash 2 by iZotope—it's my favorite distortion VST. I also really like Omnisphere 2.

TeffyD responds:

I got my guitar style from Steve Vai and Joe Satriani where its more strat sounding (even if I dont own one lol), and playing when I was 14 or so like 8 hours a day for years on Rocksmith 2014, Its all self taught which means its not the best but I enjoy it

TeraVex responds:

Back in 2021 when I did Madness roulette I went back and searched what kind of stuff was used on classic madness movies n games, I then went to more modern games unrelated to madness with a similar sound and kinda mashed em together to make what I have here! Ever time I do one of these I always like try somethin new, this year I wanted to try more guitar stuff and invited teffyD on for some shredding

Your song is incredible! The bass and melody create such a spooky atmosphere—it's truly excellent. It’s like a mix of Halloween and synthwave, and they complement each other perfectly—immaculate vibes!

@CryptVoice what elements do you value most in music, and why?

CryptVoice responds:

Experimentation and dark vibes

Great episode! I remember seeing Vegeversary on Newgrounds, and I think the animation is excellent.

Majestic composition!

Sean's mic is quite distorted at the beginning, and sometimes his voice distorts later on as well—there might be something wrong with the levels. It was awesome to hear about the experiences of working on The Simpsons, as well as the insights into both animation and comics. It's great to know that starting as a production assistant gives you a better overview of the production process as an artist. The advice on connecting and collaborating with other artists is invaluable—being able to collaborate is such an important skill, especially since animation is fundamentally a collaborative format.

As for the comment about stretching intestines across the planet, that’s definitely a big exaggeration! I don’t think they would reach that far, although they could stretch quite a bit. This part might sound out of place if someone reads the review out of context!

CreativeBlockPod responds:

His mc should be good for the next record. Thanks for making it through the rough audio bits.

Nice! My head is bopping, and I’m fully enjoying how powerful the drums and bass are! @KittyhawkMontrose's artwork matches extremely well, very dynamic!

Dieswyx responds:

Glad you liked it!!! 💜

If I were to pitch Newgrounds to people, I would say that it is a platform run by real people who genuinely care about the community. You can message the moderators, and even Tom himself, about any problems you have or issues you see. People will actively try to resolve them, which is actually terrific. It's also excellent advice to collaborate with others on creating projects. There were many great and funny conversations in the podcast episode, and it was interesting to hear about gross-out humor. I personally wish there had been a Newgrounds link to PFINNEY under Follow the guest!

Excellent song! Your structure is well-defined, with a variety of sounds that create a rich soundscape. You are very skilled at making music. Congratulations on making it to round 2!

@G2961 how do you start on making a song?

G2961 responds:

Thank you more! I'm so glad to see your comment and it's so nice to read it! I started making music spontaneously, I just started with the same electronic music, and then switched to Phonk, but my remixes of the song LONDON from the band SLEEPING HUMMINGBIRD, which gave me fame. Then I started making my own music and became a better.
then it took almost 2 years. I started this song by writing a piano part and continuing it. and then 3 days passed and the song is ready!

Jamming song! Great melody.

@Ru2Tu2 if you were to start over learning music, how would you begin?

Ru2Tu2 responds:

Thanks for enjoying this song. Well... since I've considered composing and using daw as exploring new world or playing with toys, I'm just struggling over and over to find melodies that I want to listen to and have every component make sense. I just clicked every button when I first tried to use FL Studio and FLM, and it was quite fun :)
