My animation is entirely made in Blender 3D. The characters are 2D hand animated, and the background is 3D. The lightning is a procedurally animated brush that I made myself.

As far as the Sonic franchise, I LOVE IT. I'm extremely happy that it's been getting a "resurgence" as of lately!

Bebop is right up there as one the great shows imo (but this scene will never be the same again, after making this) and I got into animation mainly thanks to growing up with Cartoon Network.

I’d say the moment I really got inspired to be an animator was the first time I saw Nicktoons back in 1992 😂 The second big inspiration was when Adult Swim debuted while I was in high school. A lot of other inspiration in between and after those key moments.

My process is… first a concept, then write a script, get the dialog recorded, cut a “radio play” of all the dialog timed out, then do an animatic. Design & paint the BGs. Export each of the scenes and animate them. Composite in After Effects, then export to Premiere for the final edit & audio 🙂

Your lip sync is fantastic, and your animation is hilarious—thank you so much for sharing the FLA file! Just curious, why do you use CS6? I converted the file from CS6 to CS5 using Flannel, and it worked well. However, I noticed I was missing the Souvenir Lt BT font from my system's default fonts, but that can be easily installed. Also, your v-cam setup is interesting; I haven't seen one like it before. What's the story behind it?

I started out with Macromedia Flash 8 but then moved to CS6 due to its plugin support, Stuff like KeyFrame Caddy comes in really useful for lyp sync (even though i didnt use it here lol) , For the Vcam.. I can't remember for the life of me, I've been using it since I started on macromedia 8, my best guess is it came from the Flash Kit forums, I mostly learnt all the basics from there lol, Also im missing that font aswell ive never downloaded it LOL i get that message on every animation. I'm sure i could code my own v cam or download a better way without that ugly gradient it has but ive grown attached to it... vcam stockholm syndrome aha,
