What was your process for creating the 3D print, and what did you learn about 3D printing?

Plenty!
but the biggest one:
That, unless your printer has multiple nozzles (hotend).. it's a complete waste of material to make muli colored prints. You have to get creative with slicing the model into pieces and printing by color that way..
