Your technique is top-notch. What tools or mediums do you prefer to work with, and why?

YONEKYO responds:

Thanks! I use csp and do digital art the most so Id say im most comfortable using that. I like digital art cuz you’re able to experiment with your piece a lot without any fear of needing to start over. Im also a big fan of sketching and inking traditionally. I love the look of traditional ink and I feel it’s hard to replicate with digital brushes.

The colors really pop! Did you experiment with different color combinations before settling on this one?

keik-keik responds:

Thanks! I have few colours "bookmarked" and just use those. Most combinations of earthy shades with warm yellowish tones works when drawing gobbo girls, so I'm just sticking to that.

Such a bold and dynamic piece! What advice would you give to someone just starting in art?

robdogdraws responds:

Watch a bunch of cartoons and pull any source of inspiration you can out of them! And thank you hehe

This looks so professional!

PorcuCatChaos responds:

Maybe I could go for character designer?👀 who knows.

Visually captivating. What was the most challenging part of creating this piece?

AngelofromAA responds:

Finishing the damn thing, I lost interest very quickly with this one.

The depth and dimension are amazing! Did you use any specific methods to create such a sense of space?

AngelDthe1 responds:

I just went with the flow fr
But thank you so much

The character pose is excellent! How do you approach posing your characters to make them feel dynamic?

SethFaulrest responds:

Thank you! While drawing a pose for a character with 4 or more arms can be challenging, I usually draw the hands on the hips or arms crossed. Especially if I want to show the character well.

You nailed the mood perfectly. Who or what are your biggest artistic influences?

JiggsawToons responds:

Thanks for the nice words! I grew up around comic books and have always had a love for them. Mike Mignola & Brahm Revel are two artists I really look up to. Apart from comics I've always cherished the cute and creepy designs Jhonen Vasquez & Edmund McMillen come up with. Also shoutout to Wormboy/ Von Kreepula here on NG!

The attention to detail is impressive. How do you decide on color palettes for your work?

BracedYeti responds:

Just try out a bunch of things and see what works!

You have very sophisticated shape language. How did you develop your style?

JaySilva44 responds:

Sorry for not responding earlier; I didn't check my page until now.

I just look at what I like and try to recreate it. I'm a big fan of comic books (specifically from the 2010s era), so I read a lot, analyze them, and search for what others have tried.

But it's not always about what you like—it's about what you're comfortable drawing. So, I need to adjust and "do my own thing™"

I hope that helps!
