The shading is really well done. What elements do you value most in art, and why?

KhalifAllah7 responds:

Ty. Also, I used lines, colors and shapes to experiment my art style

This is insane! How did you manage to draw with such an awesome style? How did you get interested in drawing? Also, Mob Psycho 100 is the pinnacle of manga and anime. I am biased because I really like it!

You must have studied the mediums extremely closely. What is your process for studying?

SpeedL00ver responds:

Thank You, i used to stuy some art from Boichi and Yusuke Murata, not that much honestly, most of the style comes from my vague understanding of their styles combined with my intuition. To learn i just used to redraw some of their artworks. Also I did a lot of drawing from imagination while thinking how to make my art look appealing without looking at references.

This looks so professional!

GoldSnafu responds:

The proportions are good. How long does it usually take you to complete a piece?

Slooppy responds:

Thank you! I complete my daily prompt pieces pretty quickly. This one took me a little over an hour

Your composition, design work, and lettering are absolutely phenomenal! The lettering adds excellent flavor to your work. I have a question: do you have a specific conclusion for your story that you work toward, and what would you like to communicate with your narrative? I often see comic series being done straight ahead rather than post to post. If I were to use animation as an allegory to explain this, it's much easier to construct a story when you have planned story beats that you would like to hit

How did you get interested in Newground?

And, why would you like to do a comic about a Dragon, Knight and Witch?

UnderlordMenace responds:

Honestly, I've always had these guys since I was five. Their names and designs have always changed, but what I want to do with them and how I Invision how they interact with each other have always stayed the same. The story itself is really just about death, and how different people deal with it. This comic in particular is a redo from when I originally started it a year or two ago. The first being on Webtoon and the second on Globalcomix, this is the third attempt. Since this didn't take so long, I figured I can post it as I work on the other parts of the story.
Which can take me months to do just 30 pages. I will admit I didn't really think about doing it straight ahead or post to post much, I just did it. As to what got me interested in Newgrounds, I just kept hearing about it. So, I checked it out and I like it.

This piece has such a calming vibe to it.

reyamily responds:

there's a nice, easy process to drawing a character as simply designed as witch...so maybe that contributes to it.

The use of contrast here is excellent. How do you envision your artistic journey evolving in the coming years?

Ru4nZA responds:

Just being myself, gradually improving in my artistic techniques Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

I love how everything feels so balanced.

thalsystmn responds:
