I’m extremely happy that the Blam & Protect system is still around; I really enjoy it. I think Newgrounds strikes a good balance in terms of accessibility—it's user-friendly without being overly postmodern dystopia.
Personally as a user. The platform shouldn’t feel the need to cater to people who aren’t interested in engaging with its culture. Maintaining a strong core user base is essential for the site's longevity. Trying to appeal to a broader audience that lacks a fundamental interest in the community and its values won’t work in the long run because they won’t respect or appreciate what’s been built here.
Newgrounds should remain Newgrounds—not a watered-down version of Poopexubera or Swag-up. It has its own unique history, culture, and core user base. What’s crucial is maintaining systems and fostering a strong community, as that’s the platform’s greatest strength. One of its best features is its excellent supporter feature, and I’m incredibly grateful that there are no intrusive advertisements. Back in the early days of the Internet, ads were everywhere, and they were terrible. It’s such a relief that the chaos of constant ads isn’t something we have to deal with here.
I dislike the idea of trying to appease people who obviously don't give a fuck about Newgrounds, A decent number of people literally never vote, engage with the community, or leave reviews on other people's work. A high number of creators come to the site, post their shit, and then leave. They aren't going to buy or Supporter status. Even if you change the system to make it more like "Twitter".
Yeah, I just had to rant a bit. I'm extremely grateful and happy for the amazing work that you do. I'm just ranting because I'm passionate and I care a lot. You are awesome, and I am truly grateful. @PsychoGoldfish
Oops, too bad I live in a place where I can't listen to the podcast. Oh well, I'll just use my imagination! Regarding Article 13, I don't think I've ever seen that shit ever be used, which is a relief. I’m also glad the Blam & Protect system is still rocking. I’m a big fan of Daniel Johnston—his music is fantastic. And I really enjoyed the discussion about Tiny Tim.
One thing I wish for in those audio threads is that they would encourage more user interaction, rather than just having people post their music and leave. They could advertise their songs on their news page instead. I think the forums should be a place for community, not self-promotion.

EDIT. Thank you @Troisnyx
What’s possible for most people is making friends who care about the music you create. And I believe more people have the potential to build that.
What risks being the case with this is more of the same: music being lost in the aether
We all don't want music to be lost in the aether, but we've no frameworks in place to give space for people to "come and sit" with a selection of people and ask them questions about their work
We now mindlessly post like on Discord servers, hoping that someone, anyone, will answer, but we expect zero response, and the process is exhausting
If it's community we're after, I don't mind us posting to people who will actively ask us questions and in turn, encourage us to ask questions of other people. Something's gotta precipitate the community making process, and because it won't stick immediately, we need people who can fill in for when some of us have to step away
Big ask, but certainly doable. I'm proposing a similar approach to Soundskills, the place I volunteer at, and it's being taken on board with suggestions of new, regular events to lift the dark cloud surrounding a lot of creatives in our area.
It’s good to know they’ve cleaned up all the SFW submissions from our NG Nation! Another brilliant decision!
Great first episode! I enjoyed hearing about the NG stats. I know from @Little-Rena that they got rid of Turd of the Week because crews would constantly fight over it.
Fantastic job! It’s excellent to hear great Doom-inspired music from all the different games in the series!
This is the best goth song on Newgrounds. It’s the epitome of what goth is about, and the VTuber line is fantastic. I was crying—it’s a bone-chilling, spine-altering, mind-changing musical masterpiece. We’re all going to make it, Squad.
Peace out.
Super cool bass!
Thanks!
Strong start and a great sense of progression. I like the bells; they’re a nice addition to the collab. And the melody is very strong!

The Internet is evil. It corrupted me.”
