This is really good, you are skilled pianist.

CacklingGrungilo responds:

THANKS A BUNCH! I haven't made serious music in a while but I've been thinking about getting back into it :^)

Super cool work!

LakieGD responds:

Yo! Thanks!

G2961 responds:

Thanks a lot, Aalasteir! I'm glad you enjoyed our collaboration!

This episode has audio syncing issues, there is a clear delay between the host and the guests throughout the show. I did listen to the entire episode, and the issue persists the whole way through.

The given perspective on creative block was very good. Seeing it as a well that needs to be refilled with inspiration from art, media, and life experiences shows you just have to be willing to explore to find it, and that is a very beautiful and helpful way of looking at it.

EDIT: Thank you so much for fixing the audio!

CreativeBlockPod responds:

Apologies! There were a lot of people on this episode, which I imagine is why there are issues with the syncing, but it's only an issue in the audio only version. There is not delay in the video version of this episode: https://youtu.be/KdNnLgndKDc

I'll see if we can update the file for newgrounds so it matches what we've shared everywhere else. Thanks!
EDIT: Audio Version Reuploaded!

Going with a less-is-more approach can give great results, and you prove that.

Your sound design is very calming.

RosesWolf responds:

Thank you for the kind words! That’s very validating to hear. I always second guess myself in these cases, and think that I need to add more, so it’s nice to hear that it worked out

Great interview!

A good YouTube downloader is yt-dlp, I use it every time I need to download something from YouTube. Please also remember to credit the artist who created the artwork on your Newgrounds page; I see you did credit CelestialCherri on YouTube.

The audio could use compression. It's very quiet overall, with huge volume spikes, it gets loud, then very quiet again.

Especially when I downloaded the audio and listened outside. With background noise, I couldn't make out some parts. Because they were very quiet.

I really, really appreciate that you didn’t constantly interrupt Pelo. I hope you continue that with future guests, letting them speak without interruption. That’s one of the main things that can frustrate me and make me click off and leave a low rating on interviews.

And having a basic understanding is fundamental. It’s frustrating to hear an interviewer ask, “So, what do you do?” or ask questions that could easily be answered by simply checking the guest’s page, actually looking at what they create.

A good recommendation from littlbox is something he does: asking pre-interview questions, it can be “What are some interests you have but rarely talk about?” or “Are there any obscure facts or stories you'd like to share?”

Also, having a conversation before the recording starts helps create a comfortable environment for the guest. That’s very important, considering what the experience is like for the guest being interviewed.

Your number one priority should be to have the interview be a positive experience for the guest.

I really liked hearing about Pelo’s process, the behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like working on Spooky Month and how, when he does faces, a technique he uses is camera to help with expressions, that is really cool. I’ve seen animators use mirrors while drawing so they can look at their own face while creating expressions for characters. Honestly that technique blew my mind! But it makes a lot of sense.

KJBurbankVA responds:

Thank you SO MUCH for this incredible response!! Genuinely very helpful! And I can’t believe I forgot to credit the artist here, I’ll fix that up asap.

With all my interviews I plan on asking questions that aim to keep new fans and die hard fans interested, and best believe I definitely won’t interrupt!! I notice that too with some interviews, and it drives me wild.

I had such a great time with Pelo, and I’m glad you did as a listener as well. Thats super great to hear! I’ll take notes on the advice you gave to make sure the guest always feels the same. Thank you again for all this feedback!

Super cool melody!

Interloping responds:

No youre a super cool melody

Fantastic job! Excellent bass work.

JamesHeart responds:

lot of midrange bass work with the low frequencies cut off ^^ i try to keep only one Sub Bass for the actual bass and mid bass sound design

each bass has like 2 or more synthesizers complementing the bass and giving it texture .. but the bass itself is just a solid bar of 909 sub bass

Super chill vibe!

Dieswyx responds:

Glad you liked it Aaly!

Fantastic demo reel! Your voice acting is awesome!

Galneda responds:

Thanks man! Just uploaded my Crunchyroll voice demo for the first time, with another not far behind it!

You did a fantastic job!

ZaazNG responds:

Thanks a bunch, Al <333
